Lamb

We currently have a flock of 130 sheep, predominantly consisting of the Suffolk/Mule cross, mated with a Hampshire Down ram. We find that this makes for easy lambing, but gives a good sized lamb. As with all of our  animals, the sheep and lambs spend their lives outside, eating nothing more than grass, which we believe is one of the main reasons that the meat tastes so much better, than lamb which is produced from animals which have spent their whole lives in a shed, never seeing let alone eating any grass.

When ready for slaughter the lambs are taken to Snells in South Chard, after killing, the meat is hung for about a week, and then sent to Complete Meats in Axminster where it is jointed and vacuum packed. We then generally sell the meat as whole or half lamb. Contact us for prices and delivery arrangements.
