Hectors House

Opened in 2006, Hectors House is a one bedroom holiday cottage, ideal for couples looking to get away from it all. The cottage is attached to the late 18th century farmhouse, which is set in East Devon’s Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The location is ideal for exploring the Jurassic coastline, which is a World Heritage sight. We are only a 7 minute drive from the new River Cottage HQ, and are on their recommended list of places to stay. Lyme Regis is five miles to the East, whilst the fishing villages of Beer and Branscombe are also close by. The Seaton tramway can be boarded at Colyford (1.5 miles), for trips into Colyton and the seaside at Seaton. The tram runs down the river Axe Estuary, where many species of birdlife can be found. Our neighbouring farm, at Lower Bruckland has extensive trout fishing lakes and is also noted among the bird and dragonfly watching community for rare species sightings.
